I was inspired when I found out about Beyondtheschoolrun.com to move forward with my aspirations to get back into the working world but in a way that didn’t compromise the other responsibilities I had as a mum of 3 young children. I had worked in the PR industry for over 10 years and at the point I had my first child I stopped work. Seven years later I found myself at a loss as to what I could do going forward and how I could benefit the world or my community beyond being a mother. My husband was the one to point out my strengths & natural skills and it got me thinking about how I could utilise them best.
As a result my local friend Nicola and I dreamed up the idea for a new website www.chilternchatter.com. We felt that there was a clear gap in the market for a truly local parents website & network with relevant information, reviews and advice, covering all topics a family needs to know. We launched in November and the response has been fantastic and we feel inspired and excited about the future. Many thanks to beyondtheschoolrun for providing the first steps – I encourage any parent looking to move forward in a way that works for them to take their first steps by logging onto the website.
